Senior/Disabled Tax Exemptions

Did you know that low-income senior citizens and the disabled may not have to pay ANY school bond or levy taxes?

Property taxes do NOT have to "tax our seniors out of their homes". State law provides exemptions for qualified senior citizens and the disabled. Benefits if you qualify:

  • You are exempt from paying local voter-approved property taxes, such as school bonds or levies.
  • Your home’s assessed value is frozen at its current amount, and will not go up in future years.
  • You may additionally be exempt from paying a portion of regular non-voted property taxes.

You may qualify if you are a homeowner, age 61+ or disabled, with household income less than $35,000/year.

"It took a bit of organization to get all of my paperwork together. Once I did, the process was straight forward. When I got my approval and saw how much it helped my budget, I knew it was worth the effort"
    - Grandmother to three Snoqualmie Valley School District students.

Attached below is a printable flyer with the information and contacts you need to get started. Please email or give this to any seniors you know who might benefit from this fantastic program!
