Final Election Results

The election results were certified FINAL yesterday. Both levies ended up passing with greater than a 60% supermajority, even though only a simple majority was required! Congratulations and THANKS again to all who helped!

M&O Levy:          61.05% YES
Technology Levy:   60.79% YES

This election also had great voter participation - 8991 people voted, nearly 43% of registered voters. That's very high turnout for a special election - and WAY beyond King County's pre-election forecast of 33%. It shows that our Snoqualmie Valley communities care about quality education!

THANK YOU, Volunteers!

Fellow volunteers -- as I hope you know by now, both levies rang in at over 59.5% approval last night -- well over the 50% majority requirement to pass!

Looking back, your help was incredibly vital to getting this done. From those initial meetings months ago, to more recent planning sessions, to captains e-mailing, recruiting and spreading the word, to over 100 volunteers at our mailing night, to more than 50 different callers through our phone banks, to countless others e-mailing, discussing, working hard, I have to say a huge thanks.

I have also attached a letter from Joel Aune, also expressing his, the staff, the Board's, and the students' appreciation for all you have done. Feels really good, doesn't it?

THANKS,
Cliff Brown, VVFE Chairman

Initial returns from King County Elections show that both of our school levies are passing:

M&O Levy:  59.59% YES
Tech Levy:  59.94% YES

Both levies require a 50% simple majority vote to pass.  At this point, it looks like both levies are passing with nearly 60% YES vote. THANKS to all of our fantastic volunteers who helped with this campaign!
